Narrative Writing Practice: Favoite Place
Cool brisk air, evergreens, vegetation surrounding, peaks of rock reaching skyward toward the heavens from eons ago violent collisions, now sitting so dormant and peaceful, with that feeling in the back of ones mind at any moment it could come back to life. Covered in rivers of ice. Hiking is something we love to do year round. the uneven jagged surface feeling the burn in your legs and lungs as you climb higher and higher, and then the pounding of your joint as you try not to topple over as you go down. The thrill, beauty, struggle yet rewarding adventure it can be. Winding in and out of the tree tops, over hills, through rivers, over bridges, under waterfalls is what we love to experience. The scenery can be pictured from various places in Washington but is not as beautiful as in person. It brings such piece to just go, sort your thoughts, nothing but nature noise surrounding. I feel at piece, adventurous, strong, inferior, renewed, GREAT. In tough times, rain or shine, this is my go to even if just for a day, weekend, week.

ReplyDeleteI love your description. It is exactly the way I feel about my hometown. It really is hard to describe the feeling it gives you!
